Marvel Studios have released a first look trailer at 2018's Black Panther, and it looks amazing.
1. Ulysses Klaue meets Everett Ross
Klaue seems to have his eye on Wakanda, suspicious of it's 'front' as a third-world country. |
2. First look at Wakanda
Doesn't T'Challa's kingdom look fascinating? I'm here for all this diversity. |
3. Black Panther in the trees
A quick fleeting shot of a gang, presumably Klaue's, encountering T'Challa perched on a tree above. |
4. Black Panther pounces
Off the bat, this looks set to be one of the more intense MCU films so far. Lest we forget, Black Panther is bulletproof because of his vibranium suit, a metal only found in Wakanda. |
5. A look at how advanced Wakanda is
Wakanda is one of the most technologically advanced countries in the world. |
6. First look at Nakia and Okoye in action
And they are badass as hell. Lupita Nyong'o and Danai Gurira are killer castings as members of the Dora Milaje, the all-female special forces of Wakanda. |
7. First look at an unmasked Erik Killmonger and W'Kabi
Michael B. Jordan is READY to shed that Human Torch stink and be the ultimate Black Panther baddie. |
8. The Dora Milaje
Now, this is what I'm excited for. A badass female army is just what the MCU needs. |
9. Ayo, Shuri, Nakia and the Dora Milaje in action
10. Black Panther is here
Quite possibly the coolest back flip I've ever seen. Black Panther sure does have an affinity for clinging on to cars. |

Apologies for missing out on masked Killmonger, Man-Ape, Ramonda and Zuri - while they look super cool, they appearances in the trailer were just too short to gif.
Marvel's 18th installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Black Panther, is brought to you by Ryan Coogler, and features a stellar cast including Chadwick Boseman as the titular character, alongside Lupita Nyong'o, Martin Freeman, Danai Gurira, Angela Bassett and Michael B. Jordan. Black Panther is set to release on 9th February 2018 (UK) and 16th February 2018 (North America).
'After the events of Marvel's Captain America: Civil War, King T'Challa returns home to the reclusive, technologically advanced African nation of Wakanda to serve as his country's new leader. However, T'Challa soon finds that he is challenged for the throne from factions within his own country. When two foes conspire to destroy Wakanda, the hero known as Black Panther must team up with C.I.A. agent Everett K. Ross and members of the Dora Milaje, Wakanadan special forces, to prevent Wakanda from being dragged into a world war.'
